DANCING RESUMES
After an 18 month hiatus caused by the pandemic, ceilidh dancing is finally permitted again, and last night ( August 14th 2021 ) the band very much enjoyed resuming its activities and playing at a wedding celebration in a tipee on a farm near Derby. A very enthusiastic audience filled the dance floor for every dance.

YMCA Derbyshire
Fundraising Dinner and Ceilidh
Friday May 11th 2018 18.45 pm
At Derbyshire County Cricket Club
YMCA Derbyshire will be hosting their second annual Ceilidh Dinner Dance on Friday May 11th 2018. The theme of this year’s Dance is ‘Changing Lives’; YMCA Derbyshire can continue to change the life chances of young people in our community through partnership with civic and business organisations.
At the inaugural Dinner Dance in 2016, guests enjoyed a first-class Scottish-themed evening with a three-course meal prepared by YMCA’s students and residents. Following the success of this event, the forthcoming evening will follow a similar format. The aim is to raise funds for YMCA Derbyshire’s Safe Front Door campaign and at the same time to give our young catering students and residents the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. YMCA is hoping to raise £30k from this event and a detailed outline of where the funds will be invested is included on the reverse of the attached invitation, which has the full details.
